Please remember to register your worship attendance. Just use your phone to scan the code. This digital contact card helps us take attendance, record prayer requests, and gives you a means to contact the office for more information or use the Friendship Pad. Offerings will be accepted in an offering plate in the sanctuary or in the box in the Narthex.!
EASTER OUTREACH—There are cards available for handing out to family and friends about our Easter Celebrations at Resurrection on the ushers station and the table outside the narthex. These are also being mailed out to households around Resurrection. Please take some and pass along the Good News!

CALLING ALL WOMEN—All women are invited to the annual LWML (Lutheran Women in God’s Service) Spring Rally at Hope Lutheran Church, 5350 Providence Road in Virginia Beach on Saturday April 18th from 9:00am – 2:00pm. Please contact Doreen Canuelle at 757-812-5934 if you have questions or wish to attend. We will arrange carpooling from the church for those who are interested.
LOVE COMMITTEE KUDOS—Give thanks to God for the blessings the amazing Love Committee regularly bestows on our church family for fellowship and gatherings. Headed by Pam Mason, their behind the scenes work in planning, communications, set-up, and clean-up often goes unseen. Beyond regularly coordinating and providing the weekly after service fellowship times, they recently provided five tasty meals prior to Lenten services and facilitated a wonderful Easter breakfast enjoyed by many! You are appreciated! Thank you also to those who prepared and contributed dishes for the Easter breakfast.
LWML IN-GATHERING— Our Zone LWML Rally always has an in-gathering for local ministries at their annual Spring Rally. This year we are collecting items for Hope Lutheran Church’s Mother’s Maternity Pantry to include but not limited to diapers (sizes infant to 4), wipes, burp cloths, bibs, baby wash, shampoo and lotion and for Hope’s Food Pantry needing 16 oz. peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, tuna or chicken, mac and cheese, spaghetti and sauce, or other non-perishables. (No sugary cereals please). Rally Attendees may bring their contributions to the Rally. Congregation members who wish to donate anything may place them in the box in the narthex before April 18.
THIRD SATURDAY PRAYER—Join Pastor and fellow saints the third Saturday of each month from 10:00-10:30am for a time of prayer for our community. Our next meeting will be Saturday, April 18th.

SMALL GROUPS GROWTH– Several small groups are meeting regularly and bearing fruit in many ways. There is potentially a need for additional groups, particularly one where parents could bring children and/or one that would be located in the northern Newport News/York County area, although groups do not necessarily need to be geographical to form. Additional small group offerings would provide spiritual growth opportunities, strengthened relationships, and the opportunity to do Gospel outreach beyond the Resurrection family. Please pray that in His timing, the Lord will raise up additional small group leaders and also consider whether this might be a calling for you. Leaders need no special skills beyond a willing spirit. Michael Uenking will provide informal training for new leaders. When a group forms, group leaders with their members will determine where, when, and how frequently to meet. Virtual meetings are also an option. Contact Michael Uenking at 757-813-3973 or LogicX@cox.net with any questions or for other information.
| Small Group Ministry Praise God! Additional groups are forming! All are encouraged to prayerfully consider the opportunity to join one of the following groups for fellowship, relationship building, spiritual growth, and mutual blessing. You are encouraged to also invite friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, or others the Lord brings to mind.

| So You Want to Volunteer at the School ??? There are many ways you can get involved including reading to the children, helping out with activities, spending time in the rooms with them or other ways that don’t involve being with the children directly such as picking up food orders from the store, helping with classroom organization or donations. The children are always excited to see new faces and the teachers appreciate the help and the opportunity to meet some of the congregational members. What do I need to do to help directly with the Children ??? Click here for a simple go-by instructions about what is needed to volunteer with the children. It is an accreditation requirement that anyone directly interacting/helping out with the children be screened and meet these requirements. It is simple and free for the volunteer. Please complete this if you would like to help out with the CDC in person and provide the information to Melanie, the School Director. You can talk to Melanie or any School Board Member (see picture in the School Lobby) for more information about volunteering. |
