Childcare and Preschool Programs for Every Stage
Caring Support From Infancy Through School Age
Every stage of childhood brings new milestones, needs and discoveries. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are while helping them develop the skills and confidence to take their next step.
Learning That Supports the Whole Child
Building Skills for School, Relationships and Life

Children grow in many ways at once. That is why our approach supports academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development together. Teachers take time to understand each child’s strengths, needs, milestones and personality so classroom placement and daily learning experiences can help that child thrive.
Our preschool classrooms use the STREAMin3 curriculum to encourage curiosity, creativity, early literacy and problem-solving through developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning. Children also participate in stories, discussions, creative play, outdoor exploration and age-appropriate faith experiences, including prayer before meals, weekly chapel and Bible stories.

Childcare Designed With Working Families in Mind
Reliable Care, Clear Routines and Strong Partnerships
Resurrection Lutheran School is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving families a consistent full-day option for childcare and early education. Breakfast, lunch and two daily snacks are included, and children have opportunities for indoor and outdoor play throughout the year.
We believe families are essential partners in a child’s development. Our team supports that partnership through family engagement events, teacher conferences, early intervention support and connections to additional services when needed. For families in Newport News and nearby communities, our goal is to make every step, from the first tour through classroom transitions, feel clear and welcoming.
