Two-Year-Old Preschool
Helping Two-Year-Olds Build Confidence with Play, Learning and Discovery
The two-year-old years are an exciting time of growth. As children become more independent, they begin developing stronger communication skills, building friendships and exploring the world around them with endless curiosity. At Resurrection Lutheran School, our two-year-old preschool program (24-36 months) provides a faith-based environment where children are encouraged to learn and grow through hands-on activities while building the skills that support their next developmental stage.

Easy, Safe Drop-Off And Pick-Up
We know that busy mornings and afternoons require a childcare experience that is both convenient and secure. That’s why Resurrection Lutheran School has developed a drop-off and pick-up process designed to make transitions as smooth as possible while prioritizing every child’s safety.
Families are welcomed into our main lobby, where an administrator or team member greets each child and escorts them to their classroom. This allows our teachers to remain focused on the children already in their care while helping new arrivals transition comfortably into the school day.
Our campus also features multiple security measures to help protect every child and create a welcoming experience for families and a calm start to each child’s day, including:
What A Typical Day Looks Like In Our Two-Year-Old Preschool
Children thrive when they know what to expect. Our Two-Year-Old Preschool program follows a consistent daily routine that balances structured learning, independent exploration and plenty of opportunities for movement and play.
A typical day in our Two-Year-Old Preschool program may include:

Rest And Nap Time
Rest is an important part of healthy development for two-year-olds and a well-balanced day that includes active play, learning and rest helps children return home feeling accomplished rather than overstimulated. After an active morning of learning and exploration, children enjoy a dedicated afternoon rest period in a calm, comforting classroom environment.
Each child has their own individual cot for nap time, and teachers create a peaceful atmosphere that encourages children to relax and recharge. We provide the cot, sheets and a blanket for each child. These blankets are color coded for each child and properly cleaned, so you don’t have to worry about bringing them to school each day!
Every day at the same time, we designate 2 hours of quiet time. While many children sleep, we understand that every child has different needs. Teachers provide quiet activities for children who wake early or need additional time to settle, always maintaining a respectful and comforting environment for everyone.
Care For Every Child
At Resurrection Lutheran School, we understand that every child learns, develops and reaches milestones at their own pace. Rather than placing children solely by age, we consider each child’s overall developmental readiness to ensure they are in the classroom where they can be the most successful.
As part of our commitment to supporting the whole child, we have an early intervention specialist on site who works alongside our teaching team when additional developmental support may benefit a child. This approach allows us to step in early on, which, when needed, can help children build confidence and achieve important milestones.
Our teachers also maintain close communication with parents, celebrating accomplishments while working together to support each child’s unique strengths and needs. Every child deserves to feel successful, capable and valued, and our individualized approach helps make that possible.
